Yearbooks for preschools
A preschool yearbook is usually a short book where every room is a class and every child needs a big, clear photo. Rethink works with preschools: Pre-K and TK are handled as their own grades, each class gets its own page, there is no minimum order and no deposit, and softcover starts from $20 a copy.
What is different about a preschool yearbook?
Fewer children, younger children, and families who want to see their child’s face and their child’s room. The class is the unit, not the grade, and the book is usually put together by a director, a teacher or a parent volunteer. Rethink is built for that kind of team: a clear page plan, templates already sized for print, and a quote within one business day.
Does Rethink handle Pre-K, TK and mixed-age rooms?
Yes. Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) are recognized as grades alongside Kindergarten and the numbered grades, so classes appear in grade order with the right heading. The coordinator keeps one class list with a teacher for each class. A room that spans two ages can be listed as a combined class and placed under the grade the coordinator chooses.
How do class pages work?
Each class gets a page with the children’s portraits and the teacher’s name, in first-name order. Portraits come from the school’s picture-day photos. The coordinator can correct a name, a class or a photo, and those corrections are kept.
Can families get pages about their own child?
Yes. Every child is in the shared pages. Families who choose personalization (+$10) also get myClass or myGrade pages with candid photos from their child’s own class and grade, built from the photos the school uploads, plus their child’s name and photo on the cover. How many photos of any one child appear depends on what is uploaded. What custom and personalized pages mean.
What do we design it in?
Canva. Two of the templates are made with young children in mind: Crayon Box and Little Handprints. The Canva file for the template you pick comes with a Rethink school. If no one on your team has the hours, the free First Draft builds a first draft for you to edit.

Can a preschool raise money with its yearbook?
Yes. The school sets the family price above its cost and keeps the difference; most schools add $2–5 a book. A 5% processing fee comes off money paid out to the PTA, and none when it is put toward more books. How yearbook fundraising works.
Where might another option fit better?
If you only want a handful of copies made in a consumer photo-book editor, with no school program behind it, a consumer tool may be simpler. Some yearbook companies also make books for preschools, camps and other groups. How the main yearbook companies compare.
