A free printable end-of-year memory book activity
This is a printable memory book students fill in themselves: their teacher, their friends, their favorite moments from the year. Teachers run it as an in-class activity in the last weeks of school, it needs no purchase, and every child leaves with a keepsake, whether or not their family buys a yearbook.

It works for any grade that can write a sentence or draw a picture, and it’s especially good for a graduating class.
How do I use it, step by step?
- Open the template and either print it straight away or make a copy in Canva to add your school name and year.
- Print one per student. Print double-sided and fold or staple, or single-sided and staple, whichever your copier handles.
- Set aside class time in the last weeks of school. One session is enough to start; students can finish over a few days.
- Let students fill it in in their own words and drawings. Help younger children by reading the prompts aloud.
- Collect signatures on the last day, so classmates can sign each other’s books.
- Send it home. For families who’d like a copy at home, or for children who were absent, share the link.
Why run it if the school has a yearbook?
Not every family buys a yearbook, and the children who go without are often the ones who notice most. A memory book every student makes in class means nobody leaves the year with nothing. It also captures things a yearbook can’t: a child’s own handwriting, their drawing of their teacher, the friend they named at nine years old.
