A free yearbook order flyer template
A yearbook order flyer needs five things: what’s on sale, the price of each option, how to order, the deadline, and who to ask. Our Canva template lays all five out on one 8.5 × 11 page. Copy it, fill in your school’s details, and send it through every channel your families actually read, more than once.
The template is written for any school; swap in your own ordering link.

What should a yearbook order flyer include?
- The headline: school name, school year, “Yearbook on sale now”.
- Each option and its price. If families can choose between editions or covers, show them side by side with one line on what each includes. Say whether tax is added.
- How to order: a short link, and a QR code if the flyer will be printed.
- Anything families need to order, for example a school code.
- The ordering deadline, in bold. People don’t believe deadlines they’ve heard once.
- Who to ask: one email address.
Leave off anything that doesn’t help a family order. The flyer’s only job is to get them to the order page before the deadline.
When should we send it, and how often?
Start early and remind often. Open ordering well ahead of your print deadline, and then:
- Send the flyer when ordering opens, through every channel your school uses: email, class WhatsApp groups, the school app, social media, the newsletter, and paper in backpacks.
- Remind regularly, not once. Change the wording each time and keep the deadline in every message.
- Send a final “last few days” reminder before ordering closes.

Can the flyer help raise money?
Yes, if your family price includes a fundraising margin. Families don’t need to see the breakdown on the flyer, but you can say that part of each purchase supports the PTA.
At Rethink, schools set the family price above their cost, and most add $2–5 a book. A 5% processing fee applies only to fundraising money paid out to the PTA; there is none when it is applied toward more books. How yearbook fundraising works →
How it works at a Rethink school.
Rethink families order online at your school’s store using a short school code your yearbook team shares on flyers and order links. The template has a field for it. There’s no order minimum and no leftover inventory, because only the books families order are printed.
